School fees

Children should go to school regularly. Support with school fees

In Kenya, state schools also charge school fees. Many parents cannot pay school fees for their children. Girls in particular suffer from this.

What we do

Unfortunately, parents in Kenya have to pay a small school fee for their children's primary school education. This is because there are far too few state teachers in the schools. Parents therefore have to pay for assistant teachers. Exams and school materials also cost money.

Although it is only 25 francs per year, many very vulnerable families with many children are overwhelmed.

Due to the high level of poverty in the region around Osinantei, children repeatedly stay away from school because their parents owe the school fees for too long. This harms their school performance and therefore their professional future.

The money is often only enough for the first-born child. Girls then stay at home.

We want to change that. Hold my Hand pays part of Osinantei's school fees. Until the parents are able to earn the school fees themselves with the agricultural projects.
